Welcome

We are the Community Council for Castlehill & Pittodrie in Aberdeen, Scotland.

As the most local form of community representation, we promote opportunities for involvement and participation in the decisions that affect the community.

About Us

Our Beliefs

We believe it is important for people to have a say in the decisions that affect their community, their neighbourhood and their lives.

We believe that we are all at our best when we work together.

We are dedicated to promoting these values and promoting opportunities for you to have your say as frequently and fully as possible.

We know that there are many competing demands on all of our time and energy, and we are aware of the challenges that we all face in balancing these priorities.

That is why we want to make access to information and having your say as simple, easy and accessible as possible.

  • SCDC – “Strengthening Community Councils” (2019)

“Community empowerment is therefore more than the
involvement, participation or engagement of communities
with public sector organisations. It also describes community
ownership and action with a view toward social and political
change.”
